I keep wanting to call it morning practice since it started at 7:15 AM, but out here at the Beach, its the ONLY practice. Two hours to set-up the car while learning the track. Then a few hours break and back for qualifications. Not much time for anyone. The Indy Cars are the show out here and the ALMS race is only a blip on the weekend schedule. To be fair, there is quite a bit going on at the track, but two practices doesn’t seem like too much to ask. Guess it is. Dyson took the Prototype honors for fastest lap, with Gunnar Jeannette close behind for the LMPC class. GT2 fast lap went to Patrick Long in the Flying Lizard #45 and BSR took top tomes in GTC. I’m off to shoot the World Challenge practice and then the ALMS qualifying. I started creating a highlight gallery for each race and this LINK will take you there. Images will constantly be added over the weekend, so keep checking in. Have fun!

I’ve seen you down at the beach two years in a row, but you’re always busy working, so I don’t want to bother you. Great shots as usual. Hopefully we get to meet one day. I used to write for Fastmachines.com before the site sort of went “quiet”. Now I’m starting up MotorPundit.com. You also know me as scottie_vox from Twitter.
Same thing you told me last year. SAY HELLO next time!
